The first World Albatross Day was celebrated this year to honour these birds and highlight the conservation crisis they face.

The Falkland Islands is home to around 70% of the world's population of black browed albatross and in the late 90s, the species was in decline. Today, the population is stable with around 500,000 breeding pairs. What has the Falkland Islands done to achieve that?

This documentary highlights the action and collaboration between government, researchers, and the fishing industry that has branded the species a conservation success.
