The programme is presenter-led and can include live phone-ins from the public.

The show is usually on every second Wednesday at 1900.

Award-winning author, Jennifer Kingsley, shares her experience of documenting life in the Falkland Islands.

The Canadian naturalist has spent years visiting arctic communities and learning about their cultures. During her first trip to the Falklands, she spent time with the men removing landmines from the 1982 conflict and visited farmers working in the camp. 

Jenny is the author of Paddlenorth: Adventure, Resilience, and Renewal in the Arctic Wild, which won the top prize for literary non-fiction at the National Outdoor Book Awards in 2015. Her work as a broadcast journalist has been played around the world and recognized by the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University.

Southern Blue Whiting Research Cruise 2019 Popular

Director of Natural Resources, John Barton, talks about the joint Southern Blue Whiting Cruise of 2019.

The purpose of the scientific cruise is to estimate the abundance of the Southern blue whiting reproductive population, improve the knowledge on reproductive and biologic aspects of the species and verify the drift of the first stages of development (eggs and larvae) in the area to the south of the San Carlos Strait/Falklands Sound.
