Myriam Booth

Presenter

Shows: Vinyl Frontier, Pot Luck

Myriam Booth is the station’s longest serving employee.  She started as a Continuity Announcer in 1961 and regularly hosts “Pot Luck” and “Vinyl Frontier”.

She was born in Punta Arenas in Chile, but has lived in the Falkland Islands for most of her life, and considers the islands to be her home.  She worked for the British Antarctic Survey as the Stanley Officer until she retired in 2004, after 43 years of service.

She is an avid Manchester United FC fan, but her true passion is music, especially Rock ‘n’ Roll and country.  Myriam’s favourite artist is Elvis Presley, and her music taste ranges from 1940s to 1970s pop, and country music up until the 1990s.
